Job Title: Quantity surveyor ad
Description


 
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
 
•        Bill of quantities for all disciplines and cost estimates
•        Provide objective reporting of the project using 'Earned Value' techniques
•        Prepare analysis of progress and cost projections of the week in progress
•        Assist the Project Manager to evaluate and approve contractor's final accounts
•        Assist in any contracts administration duties related to the project Prepare cost estimates and technical proposals for tender submissions within the scope of appropriate drawings, specifications, quantities and cost data .
•        Review tender documentation issued by client and derives a thorough understanding of clients requirements
•        Attend site visits and gain thorough understanding of local conditions
•        Prepare a brief execution proposal and discuss with operational personnel and amend as required.
 
Required Experience:
 
Education: Diploma Degree in Civil Engineering
 
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
·         PMP certificate is an advantage.
 
Experience: 10+ years’ post qualified experience as a QS.
 
 Knowledge:
The holder of this job position is preferred to have knowledge in the following areas: Contracts, Solid Technical and Method of Measurement
 
Skills:
·         Good level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and processes leading to successful delivery within budget
·         Experience in Negotiation strategies with ability to clearly reason any dispute
·         Commercial business acumen
·         Ability to plan and manage time to achieve results on multiple tasks/projects.
·         Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals both inside and outside the
·         organization.
·         Energetic and able to work well as an integral part of a large Project Team that includes all Engineering disciplines.
·         Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
 
 
Job Working Conditions:
 
·         Job location will be on the same site of the company
·         Normal working hours :
1.       Saturday to Thursday: from 8 am – 4:30 pm. One break 30 minutes
2.       Friday is a weekend holiday.
